How Batta built a Gulf eCommerce funnel across four markets and 280+ confirmed orders

A Dubai modest-wear brand new to performance advertising, with a slow, partly unlocalised store. Eleven months of full-funnel Meta and Snapchat built the funnel, the creative direction and the market split, and reported honestly on what the site was costing the campaign.

The case in 30 seconds

The challenge

A brand with the right product and the wrong storefront: slow load, inconsistent Arabic UI, a checkout that lost buyers, and four Gulf markets bidding against each other.

What we changed

Split the funnel by market, rebuild the creative for Gulf taste, and audit the site monthly so every conversion recommendation was on the record.

The result

130,000+ sessions, 55,000 clicks and 280+ confirmed orders, plus a documented list of what the store had to fix to scale.

Our diagnosis

The media worked. The storefront was the ceiling.

One map of the funnel, the markets and the site before scaling.

  2. Store UX problemsSlow load, inconsistent Arabic UI, poor checkout
  3. Four markets in one accountUAE and KSA bidding against each other
  4. Creative without local resonanceNo urgency, no Gulf styling cues
  5. CRO fixes not shippedMost recommendations waited until Q1 2024

Growth strategy

One growth system. Four connected levers.

01 — Media

Full-funnel across Meta and Snapchat, with UAE and KSA funded separately.

TOF broad + interest→MOF video viewers + ATC→BOF retargeting by SKU

CBO in peak months; underperformers paused fast and the budget reallocated on CPA.

02 — Creative

Gulf-specific direction: neutral tones, clean Arabic typography, UGC-style video.

Model-based creative beat flat lay by 2× on CTR.

03 — Season

Occasion collections carried the calendar: Ramadan, Eid, National Days, 11.11.

High-margin SKUs prioritised in every flight.

04 — Measurement

Monthly site audits delivered in writing, whether or not they were actioned.

Confirmed orders, not platform conversions, judged the month.

What we learned

01

Media cannot outrun a broken checkout.

130,000 sessions turned into 280 orders. The funnel was doing its job; the store was where the money was lost, and that is written into the client's own reports.

02

Put the recommendations in writing every month.

Most CRO fixes only shipped in the final quarter. Because every audit was documented, the cause of the conversion gap was never in dispute.

03

Go where the category is not advertising.

Snapchat was almost empty of modest-fashion performance advertisers, which made top-of-funnel reach cheaper there than on Meta.
